Dr. Bansal Optical does not provide a repair service for eyeglasses, or a lens replacement service.
HARDWARE: If you’ve lost a nosepad or have loose or missing screws, we supply those in reasonable quantity on a continuing basis, without charge, as well as a tool to facilitate their replacement. You need to provide the order number, and the frame number, when you request such service parts so that we may verify the frame number and record the service parts sent.
REPLACEMENT FRAMES: If you’ve broken a frame, you may reorder a replacement frame directly from the website, if it’s still available in the inventory. You simply leave out the prescription information, include your PD (Pupillary Distance) and process the order, just as if you were ordering a corrected lens pair of eyeglasses. If you’re ordering a replacement frame for a rimless pair of glasses, you’ll also be required to enter a lens shape number. Each frame which requires screws/nuts, etc., will be sent with a small tool calibrated to the size of the hardware of the frame to facilitate the lens exchange.
In most instances, the lens exchange is very simple and intuitive. If a customer is not comfortable with replacing a half-rim frame, most local generic optical shops will perform this service for a nominal charge.
Initially, the order will charge in full, but the -50% refund will be processed by the lab at time of order fulfillment. The shipping and handling charge for a replacement frame is Rs. 1,036/-.
At the end of the order form, after checkout, there’s a “Customer Comments” section. At that point, simply include a note that this is an order for a replacement frame. To verify that you’re ordering the correct frame, it’s helpful to include your initial order number (for the glasses for which the replacement frame is being ordered). Request the -50% price reduction, at this point.
Any return/warranty issue must be addressed within a thirty day period of delivery date.
PRODUCTION QUESTIONS: If the glasses have been incorrectly produced by the lab, we will correct them to the specifications of the original order at no additional expense to you. There will be no changes made, however, from the original order specifications (prescription, lens type, frame, color changes). We do not provide full refunds; rather the original order is fulfilled.
RETURN POSTAGE: We do not refund postage
If you are returning glasses for a -50% refund, the refund, in most instances, will be reflected on the next billing cycle of your credit card. If the transaction takes place at the end of a cycle, it may not appear until the following month.
We do not repair eyeglasses, replace lenses, or accept other glasses for any reason.

If you are dissatisfied with your eyeglasses for any reason, they may be returned for a -50% refund within a period of four weeks. We do not reimburse for shipping and handling of orders returned for a refund. If the glasses are being returned for a warranty issue, this must be completed within the 30 day period, as well. We do not address warranty issues beyond a thirty day period.
The industry standard on custom produced merchandise is that the order is charged at the placement of the order, and that there is no refund due if the order was filled in accordance with the specifications of its placement. Dr. Bansal's Optics policy of a fifty percent refund on this custom made product, is, therefore, very generous.
